Put ’em together and what have you got?
Bibimbap!

This song was the first thing that came to my mind when a friend invited me to eat Bi Bim Bap. Sorry, I-CAN-NOT-HELP-IT!

Bibimbap is a Korean dish. The word literally means “mixed rice”. Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste), soy sauce, or doenjang (a fermented soybean paste). A raw or fried egg and sliced meat (usually beef) are common additions. The hot dish is stirred together thoroughly just before eating.

It is as good as it sounds. We went to try the Bi Bim Bap at College street.

I don’t have much to compare since this was my first time eating a Bibimbap, but it was delicious. I ordered mine with steak, but they also have the options with beef, chicken or vegetarian.

The staff is very friendly, and it’s easy to get there by public transportation. If you are driving there’s a municipal Green Parking at 80 Clinton Street.

But the best thing about this place specific is that they have Gluten-free options.

Not everything is Gluten Free. You have to ask to have your meal prepared GF.  Only one Bi Bim Bap topping contains Soy – the beef, because it’s previously marinated in regular soy sauce, but the chicken and steak options can be made GF. They use Kikkoman Gluten Free Soy to make a Gluten Free Soy mixture. They also have a homemade GF Apple hot sauce, which is also a healthier option since it has no added sugar, they use the natural sugar from the apple to sweet it up.

I also had a Chicken Korean Tako that WAS- DE-LI-CIOUS!!! My, oh my!!!

The place is definitively worth trying! They have a good variety of food and the price range is also very friendly!!!
